September 2017 - I Can See a Rainbow

Hello again. Time for another Top 5 of the Month!

5. Delain - Sing to Me

Probably one of my favorites from The Human Contradiction, as it features one of my favorite bassists of all-time singing with Charlotte for this song, Marco Hietala. They have performed this song live on numerous occasions, so I'd have to be lucky on hearing this if they had Nightwish or Tarot co-headlining with them.

4. Ayreon - Star of Sirrah

A stunning, yet beautiful song with the wonderful voices of James LaBrie, Floor Jansen, Russell Allen, Tobias Sammet and various others all with the help of the Dutch legend, Arjen Anthony Lucassen. This song like all the past Ayreon albums has a beautiful vibe, creating imagination. This song makes me picture others leaving their dystopian world to find a new one in the far reaches of space.

3. Alice Cooper - Brutal Planet

I have once again heard this song after wondering 'what the hell is this wonderful song' made by the American legend himself, Alice Cooper. I can relate this song to the events of what has been happening around the world lately, and it's got my head spinning.

2. Megadeth - The Threat is Real

Some people think I am crazy whenever I get into conspiracy theories, but I can assure you that neither me nor Dave Mustaine are not crazy at all. This song reminds me of one of the end times scenarios where the world loses its senses and accepts total annihilation aka Game Over. Another song that I can relate to the current status of politics.

1. Sia - Rainbow

Ha! Didn't expect to see a Pop song at number one, didn't you? Well, surprise surprise. This is one of the new songs from Australian singer Sia, which will be performed in one of the movies that she will have a voice in. Don't know? This music video gives it away easily for a movie I am excited for.

I see this song as a bit of a tribute to the LGBT community who I support greatly, and I picture that as long as we do good for our lives and our community, we can achieve greatness as with great power comes great responsibility. The movie comes out on next week, and needless to say I am excited to go and see it.

Well, that's all for now. I'll upload my Scorpions / Megadeth show review sometime soon, and then I will be making a review on the Guns n' Roses shows in very late October, followed by a Dream Theater performance.

By Merlin's Beard! - A "Transformers: The Last Knight" Review

Before I go on to start off on this review, there just has to be the usual warning at the beginning of the reviews for a movie; especially for these kinds of movies since I've done a review on it before with a rant about the fourth film of the series. ***SPOILER ALERT*** Today I finally got a chance to head out to a theatre in Etobicoke and meet up with a friend, as I purchased tickets on the website to see the newest Transformers installation after another three-year long wait. (Last movie was in 2014.) Having been watching these movies for ten years in the theatres, I thought I could settle and go with the tradition of seeing it on the big screen. We waited for a bit as me and her were there since 3pm, but got into the screening at 3:30pm to get our reserved seats and watch the film. When the movie began, I knew somehow that there was going to be the same formula that would be repeated just like with the last three movies before this. To be honest, it is the exact s...

Nightwish - Demo - 1996 (Review)

Alas, we begin the very first review for the very first product that counts as a studio album. Yes, it's only a demo with three songs, but I still consider it a studio album because it came with the CD of 'Angels Fall First', which you will see in the next review. 'DEMO' from: Nightwish Let's kick off this party with how this demo sounds like. This was back in the year that Nightwish first formed in 1996, the same year this demo came out. At this point, the only three members at the time were Tarja, Emppu and Tuomas. You will notice that there is a large absence of drums and bass from the recording. The demo mainly is composed with beautiful acoustic guitars and synth/clean piano with majestic soaring vocals that Tarja delivers. Funny thing, there is two guitars doing leads but panning left and right. 1. THE FOREVER MOMENTS - 9.5/10 The song kicks off immediately with a grand piano playing a serene tune, before the acoustics kick in with a clean s...

An Angry Rant about the "Transformers: The Last Knight" Teaser

In... out... in... out... alright, you can do this. Unleash all of your anger calmly... ...Okay, so you know how I once stated on my Facebook that the first time I was seeing the 2016 remake of Ghostbusters, I posted about how I saw a big poster hanging above that was advertising "Transformers: The Last Knight". I only posted about that, and it wasn't really getting much attention. But hey, when the teaser comes out it definitely gets more attention. Before that, I didn't really know what was coming up considering in the end of "Age of Extinction", Optimus goes off to look for the Creators. Well, the teaser did come up and online yesterday while I was busy with the Lordi coming to Toronto craze that day. Regardless, it shows Optimus Prime standing there in a gray fog-like setting like it's coming to a conclusion in the films (Well, the Bay-directed ones.) I click on this link to the teaser trailer and this is what I see: Now, I'm bringing...
