A Journey from Humanity to Nature - Nightwish "Human. :||: Nature." Track-By-Track Review

Nightwish is a band that is one of the reasons why I got into metal in the first place. They have and still are quite an influence for me for many reasons, being that it's symphonic side is what captivates me as well as the magic they have from every beginning to end of a song they release or have. Their previous album Endless Forms Most Beautiful , released back in 2015 - I remember my excitement and eagerness to listen to the album when it came out. I almost could not sleep that night five years ago because of how excited I was to hear something new from the Finnish masters of symphonic power metal. I wasn't disappointed to say the least. Then come in 2019. News comes in that they are making a new album. And a two disc album to my own surprise! I was really excited to hear this, just like five years ago. They released their two singles in the last two months and I ended up listening to them a lot to the point where I could then find myself singing the songs. Having receiv

All the Lost Lordi Songs You've Never Heard - A Killection Track-By-Track Album Review

Hello everyone! It has been a while since I have done a track-by-track album review, so I figured that while the new Lordi album was new and fresh from its release in January - I think it is time to give it a shot and tell you all of my thoughts on the album. Lordi is one of those bands that I discovered with my close friend while back in high school, and really enjoy a lot. My close friend however, is a huge fan and every new album they announce - she gets rather excited to hear it. After hearing all three singles for this album before its release, I could tell that I was looking forward to this one being that this album is dedicated to all of Mr Lordi's favorites, along with Kiss (who are on their final tour as of the moment). With that and having acquired my own CD copy of the album, here it is in its entirety! The track-by-track review for the tenth Scarctic Circle Gathering... KILLECTION Radio SCG10 The album opens up with a radio introduction as if it is a radio stat

September 2019 - Video Game Music Pt 1

Alright, this post will be for a five selected favorites from a few of my favorite video games or video game franchises. 5. Morrowind OST - The Road Most Travelled This is one of the many recurring themes when you are exploring Vvardenfell in the third entry of the Elder Scrolls franchise. It has a rather adventurous feeling when you are engaged with the story and environment of such a great game for its time. The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind was released in 2002. 4. Kingdom Hearts 2.5 OST - The Other Promise Chose an extended version for this one. It has quite an emotional tone to this one, and is quite surprisingly a battle theme in one of the video games I grew up with when I was in middle school. It makes me think of the character associated with this theme, Roxas as he fights to keep existing. 3. L.A. Noire OST - Main Theme One of my favorite music pieces from video game history out of the early 2010's. It gives off a beautiful nostalgia wave of 1930s / 19

A New Hope for Transformers - A "Bumblebee" Reflection

So it happened... it finally happened. We finally got a good Transformers movie after eleven whole years. And this time, Michael Bay wasn't involved with directing it. Last post I made, I had hopes that this would be one to fix up the franchise a bit. My prediction became true. I present to you: Bumblebee . As usual, Spoiler Alert . It was the summer of 2018 when the first trailer for the new Transformers movie was released. After having dealt with the biggest POS that was "The Last Knight" last year's summer, I had almost lost all hope for the Transformers movie. After seeing the trailer, I could tell that this was a soft reboot to the film franchise, giving it a whole new fresh start. Travis Knight was the new director in the chair and along with him, they had a new writer that actually gave us a good story that could be followed along well to. No more did Michael Bay have an influence in this one. He was plopped straight into the producer's chai

Has the Reign of Bayformers Finally Come to an End?

Been a long while since the last blog post. Yeah... I think I will start off this post with a picture when I found out from an article about the fate of the Transformers film series. As we know from a few sources back in mid-February, there had been reports that Paramount, one of the faces on the Transformers film series, had removed Transformers 6 from their planned films list for next year. Bumblebee: The Movie is still listed and will be getting released December 21, 2018 into theatres. They also plan to reboot the film franchise and give it a fresh new start from what I've heard as well. From what the removal was for, is most likely that Transformers 6 has been postponed or been indefinitely cancelled, which most likely has something to do with the box office results from the previous installment The Last Knight . Comparing it with all the other results and how much the other movies made, the fifth installment had hit an all-time low, not making as much as the oth

November 2017 - A Missed Opportunity

Hello everyone! How is everyone doing? I'd like to first off apologize for the long delay of posting for a while as I have been doing my own thing which also includes being at work. Not exactly the easiest you know. I've delayed a hella lot on concert reviews and thoughts, but I will most likely have one coming up in early December, with an album review coming before. Well, since I missed writing for October, I will be including 10 songs for this blog post for favorite songs of November 2017. 10. Animals as Leaders - On Impulse I recall that this was the first AAL song that I have heard, which includes one of my favorite guitar players ever: Tosin Abasi. For this album and as a guitar player in general, he uses an eight-string guitar, and uses the bottom string as part of bass. This would probably be one of my favorites as well as a few others. 9. Between the Buried and Me - Lay Your Ghosts to Rest At least one or two of my friends have recommended this band t

Open Up Your Eyes - My Thoughts on 'My Little Pony: The Movie'

October 6, 2017 was proven for myself to be one of the best days I've ever lived, period. If someone went back in time to mid-2012 and told me that special day was going to happen, I would have denied it personally and dusted it off as a rumor. I had my ticket that I bought off the Cineplex website printed off from earlier after the Roger Waters concert the night before. I was all set to go and see My Little Pony: The Movie . Before then, I was able to grab all four issues of the Prequel comics that got into an easy backstory for at least the four characters that would be introduced in the movie. It at least gave me an idea on what to expect from the said characters. The city of Toronto looked quite cloudy, but there wasn't going to be any rain to my own relief until the next day which was a Saturday. I stopped off there in the afternoon at 2pm, heading off to Burger King to grab a quick lunch before heading to the Cineplex at Yonge and Dundas. Pre-show selfie bef
